You could have ended up on a porn site, downloaded a virus, or been taken to a spoofed site set up to steal your financial data. Good lessons here:

  1. Use full URLs where appropriate (work documents and school papers). These provide context for the reader.
  2. If you are coding website navigation, make it perfectly clear for site visitors so there is no fear of bad linkage like this.
  3. Never click on a "click here" link unless you truly know where it is supposed to go!
